What you receive
We transfer your home recordings into digital files, with an MP4 download included. Download your files within 30 days, save a copy and keep a separate backup. You can watch compatible MP4 files on a computer, phone or tablet, and share copies privately with family. A USB copy costs £6 per order; a DVD copy set costs £3. TV and disc-player compatibility varies, so ask our team if you need a particular playback option.
Which VHS tapes can you send?
Choose VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS or S-VHS-C in the order form. Standard video pricing covers UK PAL recordings up to three hours per tape. If a label shows a longer recording, the tape comes from overseas, or the case is damaged, send an enquiry before ordering. Please do not try to play a visibly mouldy tape. We also offer camcorder tape transfers and Betamax.
Clear prices before you pay
One tape costs £10 and five cost £45. Larger video orders receive automatic category discounts in the basket. Digital downloads are included; physical copies are optional. UK return postage is £5.95 per order. You arrange and pay for sending the tapes to us separately, or choose free local drop-off and collection by appointment.
Will conversion improve the picture?
Conversion makes your existing recording easier to access; it does not turn VHS into genuine HD or 4K footage. The picture and sound depend on the original recording and the tape’s condition. If a tape is blank or unreadable, its conversion charge is refunded under our order terms. Your originals are returned.
How long does it take?
Typical orders take 3–5 working days from arrival, excluding shipping. Larger or unusual orders may take longer. If you ask us to wait until the 14-day cancellation period ends, work starts after that period. For a special date, contact our team before ordering.
