Order terms

VHS & Tape Revival is our media conversion service. Contact our team about your order, a cancellation or a problem.

What you are buying

Digital conversion of the formats and quantities in your basket, with a digital download included and any physical copies you select. Video tape prices cover UK PAL recordings up to three hours per tape. Only send media you own or have permission to copy. Cine film, audio reels, copy-protected commercial recordings, repairs and specialist data recovery are not included.

The basket shows your total in pounds sterling, including category discounts, the £10 minimum conversion charge and any extras. No additional work is charged without your agreement. If quantities or formats differ on arrival, our team will contact you before work starts to agree any price change or refund.

Postage and drop-off

Postal orders include a flat £5.95 charge to return your originals and any physical copies to a UK address. You arrange and pay for sending your media to us separately. Follow the packing instructions supplied after payment, use tracked delivery and retain proof of postage. Local drop-off and collection in Sheffield S10 are free, by appointment. Please wait for instructions before posting or visiting.

Turnaround and your files

Typical orders take 3–5 working days after receipt of your media and, where applicable, the end of your cancellation period. This excludes delivery time. Larger orders or problems with the source media can take longer; our team will contact you. Enquire before ordering if you have a fixed deadline.

Conversion preserves the quality available on the original; it does not turn VHS into HD or 4K footage. Blank or unreadable items are refunded for their conversion charge. You will be contacted if an item needs work outside this service. Your originals are returned.

Download links are available for 30 days after delivery. Please download promptly, check the files and keep a separate backup. This is not a permanent storage service.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel by emailing our team with your order reference within 14 days of placing your order. A clear statement that you want to cancel is sufficient. If you do not request an early start, conversion waits until that period ends.

If you expressly request an early start at checkout, work may begin when your media arrives. If you cancel after work starts, you pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied. Once the service has been fully completed, you lose the 14-day cancellation right if you gave the express consent and acknowledgement shown at checkout. Any unearned conversion charges are refunded. If your originals have already arrived, contact our team to arrange their return; reasonable return costs may apply.

Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 14 days of agreeing the amount due. If the service is faulty or not as described, contact our team so it can be put right. These terms do not remove your statutory consumer rights.

Privacy

Stripe processes checkout details and payment securely. Our team receives the information needed to fulfil your order, including your email, media details and return address where relevant. Card details are not stored by this website. Order and transaction records are retained where required for accounting or legal obligations. Your recordings are used to provide your requested conversion, not for advertising. Email our team to ask about your information.
